The Swisher 120V 22T electric log splitter is the perfect home accessory for fireplaces or wood-burning stoves. This log splitter provides a quieter option than traditional gas engines and can be used indoors on a standard outlet. The heavy-duty 2-stage pump provides maximum splitting performance. The splitter can function in both horizontal and vertical splitting positions. Just raise it with the beam lift handle and secure it in place with the vertical beam lock.

The log cradles reduce the chance of the log rolling off the beam. You can easily transport your splitter anywhere you want to go as it's road towable.

Other features include: 25-Inch opening, 2.5 gallon protected poly hydraulic tank, and a log stripper. Swisher log splitters allow you to buy a quality American made product for the price of many imports. Made in the USA!

Assembled Unit Dimensions: 88" x 41.5" x 39" 456 lbs

Please note about residential / lift gate delivery:

You must select the $75 lift gate option if this shipment is going to a residence (unless you can unload the 500+ pound crate with something like a fork lift).

Very Satisfied

Wanted larger electric splitter. Found several manufacturers, but most backordered or out of stock. The Swisher splitter was more expensive, but after unpacking, inspecting and then using the splitter, it was worth the extra cost. Very well packaged in a crate, simple to assemble (did it alone, likely easier with two people as the components are heavy) and easy to use. My only criticism is the clutch assembly between the electric motor and the hydraulic pump was not assembled correctly so it did not engage when I first turned on the splitter. Ten minutes of investigation and I saw the problem. Fixed in another ten minutes. The problem was the set screws which hold the clutch in place were loose allowing the lower portion of the clutch to slide down the shaft of the hydraulic pump. Not fatal, but might have created some trouble for the mechanically challenged. Once the splitter was operating correctly, it worked flawlessly and nothing in my wood pile slowed it down - oak, knotty pinion, cedar……. Very satisfied, should meet my needs for the next 20 years.

Works great!!

Seems good.

I bought this splitter because the local rental units were all out of commission. Until then, I had preferred rental to purchase because I didn't want to maintain an infernal combustion engine that was only going to be used a few days each Spring. I was therefore intrigued by an electric splitter, but I needed something robust enough to split large hardwood rounds, not kindling. For about ten years, my house (150 year old Michigan farmhouse) has been heated entirely with wood.

I hope this splitter lasts the rest of my life. I had some reservations initially, because on really gnarly wood I have stalled it... But that's nothing I haven't done with gas-powered splitters. There's a bit of a learning curve, but once I figured it out, smooth sailing. As I said, "As long as it lasts."

We bought this splitter a few ...

We bought this splitter a few moths ago. It works great. It has not failed in splitting any thing I put before it. Oak, ash. locust, elm, walnut, and to my surprise dogwood all split easy with this splitter.
It is a lot quieter then a gas splitter, there is some noise but not like a gas splitter. You have to have a 20 AMP outlet to use it.
