Warranty FAQ's

Is a CPS Warranty just an extension of the existing manufacturer’s warranty?

No, actually it's an upgrade to a typical manufacturer’s warranty. A CPS Coverage Plan offers benefits that aren't offered by manufacturers, like accidental damage during use & free shipping on a replacement (if repair fails). If your product breaks down during the CPS coverage period, CPS will send a repairman to your home or business to repair it (and if they can't fix it, they will replace it!).

What’s the difference between a Replacement Plan and Repair Plan?

A Replacement Plan is available for products under $150. If the product fails, you will be reimbursed for what you paid for the product minus shipping and tax.
A Repair Plan is for products over $150 and offers free repair coverage for your product any time during the life of your CPS coverage warranty (and again, if CPS's repairman can’t fix it, they’ll replace it!!.

How am I covered?

For the Replacement Plan (only products under $150), your coverage provides for a 1-time replacement of the covered product. For the Repair Plan (products over $150), you are covered for a period of up to two years (depending on which plan you purchase). Benefits include parts & labor for required repairs on your product.

When does my warranty coverage start?

Coverage begins exactly one year after the date you purchase your CPS plan.

If my products breaks down, how will I know whether to contact the product manufacturer or CPS?

If your product is still under warranty with the manufacturer, always attempt to get the issue resolved through them. However, if the manufacturer's warranty will not cover the repair under their warranty, CPS will step in and address the issue inside of the CPS coverage period (beginning 1 year after purchase and extending either 1 or 2 years (depending on which CPS plan length you choose)).

How will I know my CPS plan has been activated?

After the product you purchase from us is shipped out CPS will email you with login details for your online customer account where you can register your product and file claims (if need be).

Can I transfer the Protection Plan to a new owner?

Yes! CPS Warranties are transferable between owners.

Is my product covered if it’s stolen or if I lose it?

The CPS Warranty does not cover lost or stolen products.

Does CPS cover damage due to abuse or recklessness?

The CPS Warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse or natural disasters (i.e. a tree falling in a storm and smashing your product), it strictly covers breakdowns & malfunctions from regular use. However, it is important to note that most home/business insurance does cover damage to property from naturals disasters and the like.

Is there a deductible?

Zero dollar deductible for the Replacement Plans and the Repair Plans.
