We burn 6-7 cords of wood every year. The wood that’s delivered often needs further splitting. This splitter is great for busting up the chunks as needed in the woodshed over the winter.

The small, but efficient log splitter is saving my back. It was worth the wait. When the stand comes in stock my knees will be happy.

My second Boss spliter ive owned , probally the best 7 ton electric log spliter u can buy . only sold it because i hadd a chance to buy a ez split brave ,

This is the best choice I have ever made! Had a gas powered older splitter which seemed to give up when I needed it most. I began getting my wood in chunks, and this product is the best. I use it when I receive my wood in the fall to reduce the size of many pieces. I leave it on my sheltered porch to create 2-3" feeders throughout the winter. I had an issue with the start handle and these folks had me a new one within 3 days. Yes, it may not do 15" logs, but I do not want to, but for the rest, it cannot be beat....no gas...no starting issues, no anguish! I just wish it had larger wheels,(pneumatic?) to pull it to the porch in the fall, as I am getting old! The 8" solid wheels are tough when you want to hump it on uneven ground, which is my world. Year 4, and it is excellent.

Purchased through wdsplitters direct as it was $10.00 cheaper than any other site. Prompt email updates but was concerned w/fine print on "order processed" email regarding delivery date w/out " guaranteed shipping" pd. for. Needless concern as Boss took over emails on shipping w/the usual UPS tracking available. Arrived promptly and was put to use that day. Don't forget the bleed screw ( min. 5 full turns), and as one reviewer noted the dipstick is wicked tight...it required a 1/2" drive and socket and a very hard pull. So far works great even on green frozen hardwd.

I had difficulty getting the hydraulic fluid dipstick out the 1st time; it took Vise-Grips and a hammer. After that, it worked perfectly. Had 9 years previous experience with another brand but the Boss seems better made to me. Like it. As I'm 80 y/o I'm planning for it to last the rest of my life.

Just received my 7 ton Boss log splitter, had a pile of logs that my 5 ton splitter would not split and the motor was kicking out. I set up my boss and put a log on it and nothing, it push the log to the wedge and stopped, 3 times i did this. pulled the motor on my 5 ton and cleaned it and put it back together and first time on the log it split it 499 down the drain unless Im doing something wrong.

I had a hard time deciding which electric wood splitter to go with, but decided on this one. I am very pleased and would recommend to anyone. Wood splitters direct shipped it out next day and I had it 3 days later!
