I am 57 years old and have split wood by hand my entire life. This product has certainly made my life easier. I wish I had purchased it sooner. It actually makes splitting firewood fun. I now have enough wood split for the next two years. I love it. Assembly was pretty simple but I recommend having some help. It is just easier with two people. It powers through everything I have thrown at it. If I had a complaint it would be nice if it had a quieter muffler as it is fairly loud.
This is a great product that I am very happy with. I added a wheeled trailer jack to make moving it easier.

Splitter works great. Using to split mostly eucalyptus. Had been drying in rounds for a while. The splitter has a quick cycle time and is very efficient. Goes right thru without hesitation. Honda motor is pretty quite considering it’s right next to you all day. Glad I made this purchase. Wood Splitters Direct are great, they answered all my questions and gave me updates on my order. It did take a while to get but well worth the wait. The shipping company was horrible delayed my order multiple times. There excuse was I lived to far and there to busy. I live a little over an hour from the shippers location.
Splitter works fine and very happy with it. Two review comments:
The engine is vulnerable to heavy log impact when used horizontal. I know I could have purchased an engine guard but I think this should be a standard fixture and not an extra.
Location of hydraulic oil filter is somewhat exposed to impact damage
Was missing a couple fittings for the hoses

It splits everything! Knotted elm stumps. Hickory, white oak, red oak, osage orange (tough stuff).
My wood pile has grown.
