A commercial-grade 389cc Honda GX390 engine powers the hydraulic pump, while electric starting provides convenient operation throughout the workday. The skid-mounted configuration offers a secure installation and can also be moved into position with suitable material-handling equipment.

Hydraulic Reservoir and Monitoring

The power pack uses a 12-gauge steel reservoir with the following published capacities:

• Actual capacity: 8.5 gallons
• Usable capacity: 5.75 gallons

A combination sight and temperature gauge helps the operator monitor the reservoir during operation. The hydraulic system also includes a return-line filter and filter-condition gauge to support scheduled maintenance.

Important Hydraulic Compatibility Information

This unit is not intended for connection to a closed-center hydraulic system. The pressure, flow, reservoir capacity, hose sizes, fittings, control valve, and duty cycle must all be compatible with the attached equipment.

The HBHS310GXE includes a system relief valve but does not come standard with the directional-control valve required for many cylinder-powered applications. A suitable valve and plumbing kit must be purchased separately when required.

The power pack must be fully connected to a compatible hydraulic circuit before starting. Operating an HBHS unit without a properly connected implement can damage the engine or hydraulic components.

Important Setup Information

The engine crankcase and hydraulic reservoir may be shipped without oil. Before starting the unit:

1. Add the engine oil specified in the Honda engine manual.
2. Fill the hydraulic reservoir with the recommended hydraulic fluid.
3. Inspect all hoses, fittings, and hydraulic components.
4. Confirm that the attached implement is compatible.
5. Check the fuel system for leaks.
6. Fill the engine tank with fresh unleaded gasoline.

Never check for hydraulic leaks with your hands. Escaping high-pressure fluid can penetrate the skin and cause severe injury. Use cardboard or wood to locate suspected leaks and completely relieve system pressure before loosening hydraulic components.
