Help safely remove logs that remain attached to the splitting wedge with the Iron & Oak BR021172-14 Log Dislodger Assembly. Designed for compatible log splitters with a 6-inch beam, the dislodger strips a stuck log from the wedge as the hydraulic cylinder retracts.
In addition to improving workflow, the assembly helps protect the control valve and other hydraulic components from damage that could occur when a stuck log travels too far toward the cylinder and valve area.

How the Log Dislodger Works
Stringy, tough, or partially split wood can remain attached to the wedge when the operator begins retracting the cylinder. With the dislodger installed, retracting the wedge fully causes the stationary dislodger to push against the log and separate it from the wedge.
The operator must keep hands and other body parts away from the log, wedge, beam, and dislodger throughout the retraction process.
4-Way Wedge Compatibility
The Iron & Oak BR021270-KIT 4-Way Wedge is designed to install directly on compatible newer splitters. Iron & Oak models manufactured before 2015 require the BR021172-14 Log Dislodger before the 4-way wedge can be used properly.
This dislodger and the 4-way wedge are separate products unless specifically offered together as a kit.
