I would give it 5 stars, but the packaging could have been better. The big stuff in the box should have been zip tied together. As a result, the components in the box moved around during shipment, resulting in damage to the box. Also, the nuts and bolt bag was broken, letting the bolts out of the box. Needless to say, i had to run to the hardware store to get missing hardware. As others said, the instructions could have been better. Putting it together takes patience and a lot of studying pics, etc. Get a little magnet on a stick to hold the nuts, it really helped. It took a couple of hours to assemble, taking my time. I suggest a table to use to assemble it. Also, use a power ratchet, it will save your wrists.
As far as using it, 5 stars. I pulled it behind a large riding lawn mower and it worked flawlessly. Pay close attention to the height of the tines when hooked up to your tow rig, it is adjustable. When towing it on your yard, you can watch the tines grab and release, spring action which digs up the thatch without damage to your yard. It really helped that I had a bagging mower to pick up the thatch, there was a lot of it. It is very high quality and built like a tank. I did not have to put any weights on it. Because it is heavy, you must store it without the tines sitting on the ground.
I would absolutely buy it again.
