The JRCO Tine Rake Dethatcher is a versatile lawn care attachment designed for commercial walk-behind and riding mowers. Available in JRCO 470, 471, and 473 series in 36", 46", and 60" widths, this rake is built to help maintain cleaner, healthier turf throughout the growing season.
Ideal for spring cleanup, the JRCO Tine Rake Dethatcher removes thatch, embedded leaves, and debris during the first mowing of the season. Its patented double loop spring tines lift unwanted material without damaging healthy turfgrass, while also combing matted grass to leave behind a clean, hand-raked appearance.
After a hot summer, the rake can be used to surface aerate the soil, helping improve air and water penetration while promoting stronger root development and thicker turf. During overseeding, it helps rake in seed and improve germination. In the fall, it is an excellent tool for removing leaves and debris while leaving the lawn looking neat and well maintained.
Whether you mulch or bag, the JRCO Tine Rake Dethatcher can be used throughout the season to help control thatch buildup and reduce the chance of turf disease. It connects quickly to the JRCO mount bar with clevis pins and is available with or without the JRCO mount bar package.

Due to other attachments that must mount to the front of my mower I chose not to order the Jrco mount and fabricated my own mount.
I have used it to dethatch our 1-1/2 acre yard. Work was done over two weekends.
In between weekends I added a small ATV winch to lift the rake. (60” is right at 100lbs not sure how much weight is felt at the handle bar)
The addition of the winch was a must have for our landscaping layout but I I left the factory lift/latch mechanism operational in the event of a winch failure.
The unit itself is well made but still allows some flex to follow the terrain.

Only used 1x, but worked as it should.. the directions sent were not for the 473 but the 470, so they weren’t helpful but an online YouTube video did the trick. Very well built. Do wish the mount to the weight bar on my scag could be reinforced so when in transport mode, there isn’t as much flexing.

Heavy Duty but not crazy heavy. Works as advertised! I happen to bunp a rock and no damage not even a scratch or bend...well built and engineered! Excellent handling! Highly recommend!

This dethatcher works well, and was easy to assemble. It is sturdy and seems like it will be durable. Customer service was great when I called with a couple of questions about attaching it to my specific mower, and adjusting the height for the best performance.

I was pleased with the dethatcher performance i did a 4 1/2 acre lawn filled a 10' dump truck. The mounting with weight bracket took some thought I shortened both ends of the 1 1/2" square tube, drilled 4 equally spaced 3/8" through square tube mounted to bottom front of the weight bracket. It worked out well. I wondered if had the correct mounting Kit? I also didn't like the lift and its latch. This 60" should have a power lift is there one for it ?

Works very well only used for one season so far well worth. Only problem I have is the bracket is not strong enough to hold the weight. The bracket bent after the first couple of uses
