MudMixer™ Evolution Portable Concrete & Cement Mixer (MMXR-3225)

I've been mixing concrete in wheelbarrows and barrel mixers for years to complete concrete projects like small foundations and sidewalks. The limitation has always been how fast I can mix bags for a single pour. 22 bags has always been a milestone, which really limits the size of the project. I've had to break sidewalks down to smaller sections than I would like. I pondered the purchase of a mudmixer for several months. The price tag seemed a little daunting, but once I decided to spend the money, I realized after my first project this one tool opened up possibilities for projects I would never have considered taking on alone with a barrel mixer. My first pour was 38 bags for a slab that had to be poured from a deck, into a form 7 feet below. There was no way to get bags of concrete down the slope to mix them on the ground. The mudmixer mixed those bags in an hour, including a few pauses to climb down a ladder to move the mix around in the form. The job was finished in three hours. I'd never consider mixing concrete in a wheelbarrow again. Once you buy one, the price tag will be a distant memory, but the tool will be there ready to mix, so long as you make sure to wash it out completely after each pour.

I’m a one man band on my ranch, and the Mudmixer has made it possible for me to complete small batch concrete jobs efficiently and effectively. The Mudmixer works as advertised. I like being able to turn it off mid job to move it or deal with the various things that pop up when you’re pouring a slab. With the Mudmixer I’ll be able to pave the whole place one 4x4 slab at a time!

When I purchased the Mudmixer I was honestly a little suspect as to it working up to the hype. I’ve used it twice now, 36 bags the first time and 40 the second. Both times it worked perfectly, allowing me to change the mix with a slight turn of the water dial. One of the best features was the ability to shut it off for a few minutes when I needed to move the ladder since I was filling a concrete block wall. Then, turn it back on and back to work with the same consistent concrete mix.

Received an order 3 weeks ago with missing hardware. Still waiting for the parts.

Ordered a MudMixer. Wood Splitters Direct got it to me within a month due to backlog which was earlier than expected. From the customer representative to the warehouse personnel, they were very professional and problem solving driven. This thing works as advertised. I don’t feel like it is a set it and forget it machine; it takes constant monitoring to keep the mix consistent. I’m not sure what causes small differences in slump from one bag to the next, but hand mixing probably won’t do much better.

I’ve run 65 bags through mine, and it does about a bag a minute. Bottom line, I could probably do a couple hundred bags in a day if I wanted. If I was mixing by hand or traditional machine, I couldn’t do that.

MudMixer™ (MMXR-3221)

This has been the most amazing tool we have purchased in years. That’s saying a lot since I’m a tool junky. It definitely takes some getting used to since we normally order from a Readymix company. We bought the mud mixer to mix for doing fence posts on a job and it paid for itself in the first two days. I would definitely buy it again.

The MudMixer is a great tool for small concrete jobs. We used it for several months to mix more than 100+ bags of concrete on several small jobs with no issues and consistent results. We mix about 60lb bag a minute which allows one person to easily keep the hopper full. We also love the ability to mix on demand by turning on and off the machine when doing multiple small posts or filling block. When the work is done, clean up only takes a few minutes. Wish this was available 20 years ago!
