SuperHandy 14 Ton 120V Electric Log Splitter (GUO084)

I haven't used the splitter yet..the set up has been difficult since the operators manual gives different amount of oil needed...it stated 1.6 gallons so I bought that amount...customer service stated it takes over 2 gallons so another trip back to the store...

Splits up to 15” diameter oak and maple logs, long throw, and with the auto retraction no waiting to load next log on splitter. Relatively easy assembly - be sure to get full 2 gallons of hydraulic fluid, and drain the air from the hydraulic system a couple of times to achieve maximum splitting force.

I love my woodsplitter except it leaks a small amount of hydraulic fluid from the clear hose even though I tightened the clamps as much as I dared with a ratchet

Haven't used it much yet--but it assembled as the instructions showed and I am impressed by the quality of the components. It works at about the same speed as my old gas powered unit but is MUCH quieter and I am pretty sure this will do the job for me . One thing people should be aware of is the necessity of decent heavy duty extension cords assuming your wood pile is not right next to an outlet. I happen to have such cords from my life as a contractor, but many people will not. I balked at the outrageous price of a gallon of hydraulic oil, so instead of buying 2, 1 gallon bottles I got a 5 gallon unit for less money. Probably a mistake since the 5 gallon drum was much harder to handle and it only saved $10. Anyway, looking forward to many satisfiying hours of splitting.

This machine is working nicely. It splits large rounds with ease. The motor has not stressed my old 15 amp circuit. It is light enough to move around with ease.

Easy to assemble and performs better than I expected.

Beware. I bought a brand new splitter for shy of $800. We put it together according to instructions. The splitter never worked. Chatted online with customer service and they said it was a frozen motor. We never received a new splitter replacement or any communication from this company. We heat with wood and have to take our wood to a neighbor that has a splitter in order to split the wood to heat our house.

Got this as a birthday present for my 81 year old husband. He loves it and I love it. Easily assembled because most of it was already together. Just had to go and buy a couple gallons of hydraulic fluid. One small issue was getting the plastic-threaded plug to **** in straight, because the hydraulic fluid leaked all over if it wasn’t on straight. Might be a better design to have a metal plug. Splits wood like a charm. Only split seasoned wood! 🪵

This electric splitter was just what I was looking for for home use. Quiet and easy to store. Easy to assemble. You'll need to purchase hydraulic fluid separately. It's powerful enough for most of What I need. If your need is to split big heavy rounds of knotty pine you'd probably want more power or if without electricity available a gas powered one would be a must. Can store this one for long periods of time without the issues of a gas engine.
So far so good, It does exactly what I need.
