More About Oregon Log Splitters
When Oregon Saw Chain Manufacturing Corporation first opened for business in 1947 with a grand total of four dedicated employees, the world of logging would begin its metamorphosis into the much safer and more efficient industry we work in today.
Inspired by the humble Timber Beetle Larva, by November of 1947, Joseph Buford Cox was producing the original Cox Chipper Chain used on gas powered chainsaws. Joe's revolutionary design, which is still widely used to this day, is considered one of the most significant contributions to timber harvesting in history. This would be the first of many innovations to come from the designers and engineers from Oregon.
When Oregon began producing log splitters, they were able to call upon all of the innovative genius that had made their chainsaws and accessories the Industry Standard.
